About Taliano's
The Taliano's tradition lies in the Italian passion for family, friends, and fine food. In 1970, childhood friends Tom J. Caldarera, Jr. and James J. Cadelli turned to a love they both knew well, good authentic Italian food. Their guidance was the advice of their mothers, Concetta Caldarera and Lola Cadelli who insisted "If you are going to do Italian food, you have to do it the truly authentic Italian way."
Several generations of the families have spent hours in the kitchen perfecting the sauces and handmade pastas that have become the cornerstone of the dishes served at the restaurant. Growing up in an Italian kitchen, Tom and Jim knew exactly what kind of cuisine they wanted to share with the Fort Smith community, where no Italian restaurant existed at that time. With family recipes in hand, Taliano's opened its doors to a wonderful reception in 1970. The restaurant has been praised by local, state, & regional magazines & newspapers and has received numerous accolades & awards.
The pastas, sauces, and the salad dressings are made fresh daily to ensure superior quality and a memorable dining experience. Today the tradition continues to evolve with the involvement of the 5th generation of the Caldarera family working at the restaurant making it a true family affair.
What Our Guests Have To Say
Jessica
DELICIOUS! The portions are not overwhelming and priced good. We had NO disappointments at our table of 4. Also go across the parking lot to Emmy's (same owner) for some amazing German food and a full bar.

The food is always good. It's very family friendly. We usually bring our 19 month old with us, but it was date night. Our server is always super friendly and attentive. Sometimes we even just have a conversation with her. The architecture is very lovely. The place is always very clean. I can't stress enough how good the food is.

We drove an hour and a half to try Taliano's. We got there when they opened and it didn't take long to get busy. The food was tasty and plentiful and the service was excellent. We will go back. Reservations recommended.
